Worshiper First

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength."  Dueteronomy 6:5

Extravagant Worship has always been a trademark of First Assembly. Many people think that praise and worship is only singing songs at church. It is so much more! It's a condition of the heart --- a willingness to exalt God and yield to His will. Worship is an expression of love to the One who gives us more than we deserve. You may  worship the Lord by singing, playing music, or through drama while in church. But we are called to worship God with every action, every day of our lives. Let's make sure that we are focused on giving the Lord Jesus our very best.  Here are a few scriptures that clearly exhort us to worship our Savior:

Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord!
Psalm 150:6 (NLT)

With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Hebrews 13:15 (NLT)

I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 34:1 (NKJV)

The Word says that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). So as we worship, God's presence comes and changes us. Join us as we enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4.)
